Malte is interested in making innovation work for sustainable development. Throughout the project, he focuses on the future of mission-oriented policy making in research and innovation, and getting innovation ecosystems ready to tackle global social challenges, and facilitate their advance towards the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Malte studied Political Science and Economics (BA), and holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). After graduating, he joined the Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation (CeRRI), where he currently develops strategies for successful knowledge and technology transfer, and supports public and private sector clients in designing collaborative innovation processes. Prior to that, he gained work experience at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), as well as the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
