Marc Karahan

Member of Academic Staff

Marc’s research ambition is to foster knowledge of sustainable entrepreneurship. In his PhD research project, he explores how (academic) entrepreneurs can combine business success with social and environmental impact, and how incubators can nurture sustainability orientation in start ups. Prior to his appointment as a researcher at Technische Universität Berlin, Marc consulted corporates and public organizations on innovation ecosystem strategies at the Center for Responsible Research and Innovation (CeRRI).

He also gained several years of work experience in different industries, which enables him to match scientific excellence with entrepreneurial pragmatism. Marc spent five years in the energy sector, working as an IT project manager. In addition, he spent one year in the corporate and business development unit of a leading Fin-Tech company. Marc graduated from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, holding an MSc degree in Economics of Innovation and Growth. _______________________________________________________________________________
