Prof Dr Martina Schraudner

Head of the Collaborative Research Project

Prof Dr Martina Schraudner is the scientific director of the Fraunhofer Center for Responsible Research and Innovation, which she established in 2014. In an honorary capacity, she is active, among other things, in the Future Circle of the Federal Ministry of Research, on the board of the Technology Foundation Berlin as well as the Competence Center for Technology Diversity Equal Opportunities, and is a member of the University Councils of the University of Paderborn and the Landshut University of Applied Sciences.

At Technische Universität Berlin, Martina is head of the department of Gender and Diversity in Technology and Product Development. She is concerned with methods, instruments and processes that make diversity accessible and usable for organisations and companies. Martina serves on national and international selection committees for application-oriented research and innovation projects, and was on the board of acatech-Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften from January 2018 to December 2021.

After studying biology and biotechnology and earning her doctorate from Technische Universität München, she has held various positions at the Society for Environment and Health Research Munich (gsf), the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH), and the Research Center Jülich (FZJ). From 2000 onward, she has been a member of the Fraunhofer Executive Board staff in the area of research planning, accompanying the development of institutes of the former GMD into the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, and driving the expansion of the life sciences area as well as the development of the medical technology thematic network under the guidelines of Fraunhofer. _______________________________________________________________________________
